Your certified translations for the Spanish and British authorities

Whether you are a Spanish national living in the United Kingdom or a UK resident looking to live, work or study in Spain, you may need to provide certified translations of your documents for procedures such as applying for Spanish or British nationality, getting married or buying property.

Dialexy can help you navigate the stringent certified translation requirements for procedures with the Spanish authorities as well as the requirements set by UKVI in the UK.

Click the Get started button below if you are ready to submit your documents or read on for more information about the various procedures and documents required.

Certified translations for UK residents looking to work, live or study in Spain

If the documents you need for the Spanish authorities are not in Spanish, then you may need to provide a ‘traducción jurada’ (literally, sworn translation). Only the translations performed by a certified translator appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (the so called Traductor-Intérprete Jurado) will be accepted by the Spanish authorities. These translations have to be stamped and signed by the translator, who attests to their accuracy and completeness.

At Dialexy we know these rules very well with our CEO having been appointed Traductora-Intérprete Jurada back in 2008. Since then, she has been working very closely with the Spanish authorities in the UK. The Consulate of Spain in Edinburgh, the Consulate of Spain in Manchester and the Spanish Embassy in London have all been accepting our translations for the past decade, as well as the Spanish authorities in Spain.

Certified translations for Spanish nationals living in the UK

Spain and the UK have different regulations for certified translations. Translations performed by a Spanish Traductor-Intérprete Jurado are usually accepted in the UK, but this is not your only option.

If you are planning to move to the UK to work or study or if you live in the UK but you don’t have a Spanish certified translator close by, Dialexy can help you get fast certified translations that are valid in the UK for procedures such as naturalisation, university and job applications or professional registration.

How do I get a certified translation for the Spanish authorities?

Using our platform to get traducciones juradas is very easy! You just need to follow the following steps:

  1. Tell us the purpose of your application at the consulate or embassy

  3. Wait for an instant no-obligation quote and estimated delivery date.

If you have any questions about this service, you can read our FAQs here. To learn more about us, feel free to get in touch or go to our website.

You will be able to upload several documents from the same country and language. If your documents are from different countries and/or languages, please create separate orders for each country and language.
Upload your document(s)

Please upload all the documents that you require translated. You can upload as many documents and pages as you need. In the next step you will be able to select the specific pages that you would like translated. Make sure that the scans or photos you upload are legible and show the full page.

If you have been asked to legalise your documents, please do this before the translation is completed as the legalisation stamp has to be included in the translation. If you are waiting for the Apostille of the Hague to be stamped in your documents, you can order your translations and let us know in advance, so that we don’t certify them yet. Simply add “Apostille pending” in the Special translation requests box just under your quote.
